Melisa Hadimoglu

Game / Artist / Interactive Media Designer

Growing up around my parents'  production studio, immersed in the world of media, has shaped me into the versatile Interactive Media Designer and Artist I am today. Currently, I directly contribute to the player experience of Cosmocadia at Lucky Kat Studios, where my environment art has been integral to the game's engaging visual identity, reaching millions of players worldwide. My responsibilities span the entire asset creation pipeline, from initial concept and research to meticulous asset production and seamless in-engine implementation within Unity. This includes providing critical technical art support, such as developing custom Unity shaders and creating impactful VFX that enhance gameplay and visual fidelity. My earlier work demonstrates my adaptability as a visual creator, ranging from efficient voxel art pipelines to detailed low-poly character modeling for diverse projects.

My artistic practice often explores the unique potential of games for fostering empathy and personal connection, a perspective honed through my formal art education at the prestigious Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, where I developed a strong foundation in critical thinking and conceptualization. This artistic foundation directly informs my design approach, allowing me to create interactive experiences that are not only visually compelling but also strategically designed for optimal user engagement. Notably, my commitment to knowledge sharing and mentorship was recognized through the successful week-long game art and storytelling workshop I developed and led at the Royal Academy of Art, demonstrating my leadership and communication skills within the creative field. Furthermore, my contribution as a 3D intern at Ado Ato Pictures on a short film now available on Netflix showcases my professional experience in a collaborative production environment and my ability to deliver high-quality assets under tight deadlines. My diverse experiences and proven ability to contribute meaningfully to successful projects make me a valuable asset to any interactive media team.

My 3D internship work included contributing to a short film now available on Netflix. Responsibilities included 3D modeling, particle systems, composition, lighting, and post-processing. I also collaborated on brainstorming sessions for practical solutions and contributed to the development of future interactive artwork projects.

At my family's production studio, I've gained hands-on experience across a diverse range of creative projects. My contributions included tasks in web game development, website design, and the creation of audio-visual content, including dubbing and other media production tasks. As the Co-Founder of a self-made small business in The Hague, I focused on creating alternative jewelry and handmade stickers. My responsibilities included product photography, 3D modeling of products, social media management, branding, and design. By developing unique illustrations for stickers and jewelry, I enhanced our brand identity and increased our online presence. Through creative content creation and marketing strategies, I successfully engaged customers and grew our business.
